This is The Rise of the Crimson Hand, the first expansion for Fortune and Glory: The Cliffhanger Game.
It adds a whole new faction of villains, the Crimson Hand, who are a cult threatening to take over the world.
What is neat is that the Crimson Hand first appeared in the Touch of Evil board game, also by Flying Frog Productions. (Touch of Evil is the Sleepy Hollow game, set in the early 1800s with headless horsemen and vampires and werewolves, and cultists.)
The Crimson Hand comes with three new villains, Angelica Hamilton (Queen of the Silver Screen), Sir Benjamin Crowley (Corrupt British Lord), and The Inquisitor (Cult Master) plus a bunch of acolyte henchmen. These look like fun to paint.

The expansion also includes a whole load of new cards for all the decks, and new rules for epic city events. These epic events are on a huge scale, such as an earthquake in San Francisco, to really bring the adventures to life.
It also has new optional rules for the temples (to make them simpler to play), and new danger cards with more difficult ‘deadly’ tests.
I like the idea of having the Crimson Hand as the enemy to make a change from the Nazis. I never really thought the Mob was interesting flavour-wise. Not evil enough.
